Measuring Instructions 

Women's fur coats should always be purchased according to your exact size. Follow the measuring instructions we provide below exactly. A correctly cut fur garment will in the first months of wear adapt it's form to your figure the way leather does. If your coat is too large it will hang unflatteringly on you like a coat hanger - if too small, the coat will be deformed and the membrane will stretch out of proportion. The size charts below should be used as a sizing guide. Use the exact measurements and size listed in our tables for the most accurate results. Correctly fitting a fur garment does not mean quoting your usual or standard retail store size. You MUST have another person measure you and follow the instructions implicitly. When being measured please stand straight but relaxed wearing the actual shoes to be worn with the coat. Do not draw your tummy in.

A: NECK - Measure the circumference of your neck by placing the tape just above the base of neck and bring it together at the adams apple. Slide two fingers inside the tape. The number of inches showing on the tape is the neck size.

B: CHEST WIDTH - Measure horizontally above the bustline from one corner of the armpit to the other.

C: BUST - Take measurement up under the arms and around the chest. Keep your arms to your sides as much as possible during this measurement. Have your tape person stand to your side while sliding the measuring tape up under the arms. Have them measure across the center of your shoulder blades and the fullest part of the bust. Total inches are the bust measurement.

D: WAIST - Measure at the narrowest part. Find your waist by bending to one side. The deepest wrinkle is your waist point.

E: HIPS - Measure at the fullest point standing with feet together.

F: BUST HEIGHT - (shoulder to bust) - Measure from top of shoulder at neckline to the fullest bust point.

G: ARM LENGTH - With your arm relaxed and slightly bent measure from point of shoulder down the outside of arm to the first knuckle of the little finger.

H: SLEEVE LENGTH - With your arm relaxed and slightly bent (place hand on hip if you wish) measure from highest point of your shoulder at the neckline down the outside of your arm and around elbow to the first knuckle of the little finger.

I: SHOULDER WIDTH - Measure across the back from one point of shoulder to the other. 

J: WIDTH OF BACK - Horizontally measure with your tape across the shoulder blades from one corner of armpit to the other.

K: WAIST HEIGHT (shoulder to waist) - Measure from the top where the small bone protrudes at the back of your neck to your natural waistline.

L: ARMHOLE - Take this measurement from top of shoulder around under armpit and back to top. Basically this is the size that you want your sleeve hole to be.

M: LENGTH OF COAT - Desired length of your fur garment. Measure from top of shoulder at neckline to bottom of garment. If available measure a garment that already fits you well and is the desired length.

 N: HEIGHT - In your stocking feet stand relaxed and straight with your back your head and heels against the wall. Have a measurer place a ruler on your head so that it is perpendicular to the wall. Have the measurer mark where the ruler meets the wall. Measure the vertical distance from the floor to the mark. That is your height.
